Every day the Maryland Rural Development Foundation works to provide philanthropic funds to enable services and programs directed towards low-income and working poor families living in Rural Maryland communities. MRDC is focused on the social determinants of health and fighting the effects of poverty to lift individuals and families and communities into self-sufficiency.
Annual Fund
The Small Towns Big Hearts Annual Fund is critical in filling the gap between funding agencies and the true costs of operating a quality programs and providing access to services to all in need. Your contribution enables us to fund the needed projects and programs that Maryland Rural Development Corporation initiatives that make a difference in the community, all projects are approved by the MRDC Board of Directors. for more information or to make a gift, click below.

Stock Gifts
A Gift of Stock is a great way to give and make an impact for families in need. Stock that has appreciated in value enables you to consider making a year end securities gift. You can receive immediate income tax deduction for fair market value of securities on the date of transfer, regardless what you originally paid for them. Additionally no capital gains tax is paid on the transfer when the stock is sold. Workplace Giving
Make your dollar go twice as far! Many employers also match employee gifts and offer donations to organizations where their employees volunteer.
