During 2010, MRDC drove a total of 84,000 miles and made a total of over 6,000 accident-free trips.

Eligible persons can access services by calling 410 287-5023 Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

Transportation services are provided to medical assistance card holders and ensure that they get access to medical facilities throughout the Eastern Shore as well as the greater Baltimore area. MRDC also arranges transportation services for employers, job training and recreational activities on a free-for-service basis.

MRDC operates a fleet of five vehicles Cecil County. The primary focus is transporting low income individuals to and from job sites within the county and branching out into New Castle County, Delaware, and into Harford County on a limited basis. The service is funded through a Job Access/Reverse Commute (JARC) Grant from the Maryland Transportation Authority with additional funding from the Cecil County Commission.

In addition to the JARC program, MRDC is contracted by Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services to transport students from Kindergarten thru grade 12 from their respective school district to a Therapeutic Day Program where they receive counseling and scholastic instruction at a level above and beyond that available through the public school system.

MRDC also transports clients to and from appointments at Open MRI and Imaging in Elkton and it coordinates with Cecil County Senior Services & Community Transit to serve some of their overflow trips, including to and from DaVita Dialysis Center twice a week.
